Today is International home made cookies day! I decided to make a big batch of spritz cookies.
Spritz cookies are similar to sugar cookies. Sugar cookies are shaped with cookie cutters and Spritz cookies are shaped with a cookie press. They are also similar to shortbread cookies, but spritz cookies usually contain an egg. Eggs help the spritz cookies hold their shape when baked, so they don’t crumble like shortbread cookies.
These spritz cookies are sweet, buttery and delicious and I usually make a big batch whenever I make them!
