🥔 Potato Wedges 🥔

Potatoes are one of the most common and versatile root vegetables. They are used in so many different cuisines around the world. They taste scrumptious prepared just about any way you choose. They can be mashed, fried, baked, whipped, made into soup, served with or without gravy, as a side dish or even as a main sometimes! Either ways, they’re a crowd favorite and we just can’t get enough of them!

Today, I chose to make them into my all time favourite wedges – Oven baked herbed and spiced wedges. I usually just eyeball everything when making these but here are the approximate ingredients that go into making these delicious wedges:

2 – 3 large Potatoes (cut into wedges)
1 – 2 Tsp Dried Thyme
1 – 2 Tsp Dried Rosemary
2 – 3 Cloves Freshly grated Garlic
1 Tsp Garlic powder
2 Tsp Roughly crushed Cumin
1 Tsp Freshly cracked Pepper
1 Tsp Chilli flakes
1/2 Tsp Chilli Powder
Flakey Sea Salt as per taste
1/2 Tsp Sugar
2 Tbsp Melted butter
Drizzle of Olive Oil

To make it…

– Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Make sure the wedges are coated evenly with the seasoning.

– Lay them into a baking tray all in one layer. ( on a side note, I sometimes like to add a few whole garlic cloves in too. They taste amazing roasted)

– Bake in a 200C preheated oven for 30 to 35 mins or until the potatoes are golden and cooked.

These are the only way I love my wedges! I’m not into bland wedges. I’d rather eat french fries instead of plain salted wedges lol
