Pickled Red Onions

They go so well with grilled chicken, kebabs, meat, on nachos, tacos, salads, in sandwiches, burgers, hotdogs etc…This is one of those things that’s a must have in your fridge.

This hardly takes any time to make. The only bit of work you may have is cleaning and slicing the onions. Most people like adding apple cider vinegar in the pickle brine mix but I like using cane vinegar. I like the mildness and flavour of it. Also, some people don’t like adding sugar in the brine but I personally like it. I feel like it just cuts the sour taste of the vinegar just a bit and balances the flavor out. But if you want to skip the sugar, go ahead!

Ingredients to make the Brine are listed below:
2 cups Boiling Water
1.5 cups Vinegar
2.5 tbsp Salt
1.5 tbsp Sugar

Mix the above ingredients till all the salt and sugar get dissolved well and then pour into the jars filled with the sliced onions.

Close the Jar and let it sit in the fridge for atleast a day before using it.
The pickle should last a few weeks stored in the fridge.
